New Dakota Studios is expanding its fiction development into Vertical Drama — original, serialized storytelling conceived specifically for mobile-first, 9:16 viewing.

Our focus is clear: we develop and produce stories. We do not operate our own platform or pursue a proprietary distribution model. Instead, we create Vertical Drama for and in collaboration with platforms, broadcasters, co-producers and selected media partners.

Building on our experience in screenwriting, directing, short-form storytelling, cinematography, editing and production, New Dakota can accompany a Vertical Drama project throughout the creative and technical process — from the first idea and screenplay through production, cinematography and post-production to final delivery.

Alongside traditional live-action production, we are exploring hybrid and AI-assisted workflows wherever they serve the story creatively and make production more flexible and efficient. Technology remains what it has always been for us: a tool for storytelling.
