A SHORT CHRONICLE OF MURDER wins Golden Screenplay Award

New Dakota Studios celebrates a new international award.

We are delighted to share that A SHORT CHRONICLE OF MURDER, written and directed by Adnan G. Köse, has been named Golden Screenplay Winner at the 6th Golden Short Film Festival 2026.

The award comes as a wonderful surprise. With a running time of approximately 30 minutes, the film is unusually long for a short film and asks its audience to enter a story that deliberately takes its time to unfold.

After being announced as a finalist only days ago, the festival has now selected A SHORT CHRONICLE OF MURDER as the winner in the screenplay category.

In its announcement, the Golden Short Film Festival highlighted the exceptionally high level of creativity, storytelling and cinematic quality among films submitted from around the world — making this recognition all the more meaningful to us.

At the heart of every film is the story.
