Dinslaken – Gateway to the Ruhr Region

Acclaimed German actor Udo Schenk returns to Dinslaken, a city closely connected to his cinematic career. Joined by the city's historic night watchman, Eduard Sachtje, he explores local landmarks, forgotten stories and the unique character of a community situated at the gateway to Germany's Ruhr region.

To mark its 750th anniversary, the City of Dinslaken invited audiences on a visual journey through one of the Lower Rhine's most distinctive communities. Combining historic landmarks, urban life and natural surroundings, the film offers a concise cinematic impression of a city where tradition and modernity meet.
