Behind the rise and fall of German football star Uli Borowka lies the story of a man who spends his life trying to be strong enough, successful enough and loved enough—and loses himself in the process.
As a child, he hears a simple command from his father: “Start playing football properly.” What begins as advice becomes a rule for life. Uli learns to perform, endure and meet the expectations of others. Success seems to prove him right: he becomes a Bundesliga star, a German international and a fan favourite. Yet beneath the applause grows the fear of never being good enough.
Alcohol offers him the silence he cannot find within himself—until the escape becomes a prison. Only at rock bottom, and through the painful work with his therapist, is Uli forced to confront the man behind the public image.
At its heart, BOROWKA asks a question that reaches far beyond football and addiction: When am I finally good enough—and when may I simply become myself?

After a near-fatal car accident, a displaced young man returns to Bosnia in search of Asya, the Roma girl he rescued during the war—and is drawn into a landscape where memory, guilt and the ghosts of childhood refuse to remain buried.
As Aleksander lies between life and death, Asya appears to him with a final plea: “Don’t forget me.” He has forgotten much of his childhood, almost lost his mother tongue and built a life far from the country he once called home. Yet he has never forgotten her.
On 11 July, while Bosnia remembers the victims of the Srebrenica genocide, Aleksander returns to a village shrouded in silence. Familiar places release fragments of another world: his grandfather’s magical stories, a football field scarred by mines and the melody of a gramophone that refuses to fall silent.
Gradually, his search for Asya becomes a search for the child he once was—and for a truth he has spent years trying to escape.
The past does not wait for us. But it never stops calling us back.

Twenty years after her teenage daughter vanished without a trace in the Swedish ski resort of Åre, Helene receives a phone call in the middle of the night.
“I’m still alive.”
Driven by a fragment of information and the hope she has never surrendered, Helene sets out one last time. Her only companion is Peter, a former criminal investigator who has retreated into isolation, alcohol and silence. She survives through obsession; he through withdrawal.
When another teenage girl disappears in almost the same place, their search awakens a past that powerful people have tried to bury. The trail leads from the crowded lights of Åre across the Norwegian border and deep into a frozen wilderness, where witnesses refuse to speak and human predators are closing in.
Beyond the roads, wolves begin to follow them—silent, watchful and strangely constant.

London, 1737. Exhausted by artistic rivalry, financial ruin and the relentless struggle to keep his opera company alive, George Frideric Handel suffers a devastating stroke. Unable to walk and barely able to speak, he returns to Germany and places his last hope in the healing waters of Aachen.
Against every medical expectation, Handel fights his way back to life. But his recovery is only temporary. The death of the woman he loves, renewed failure and mounting debts drive him into isolation and despair. One night, standing above the Thames, he is ready to end his life.
Then a libretto reaches him.
Its title is Messiah.
In its words, Handel recognises his own suffering, fall and longing for redemption. Something within him awakens. Over twenty-four feverish days, he withdraws from the world and creates the work that will make him immortal.

During the enforced silence of lockdown, a young man begins recording the life story of his grandfather Şevket.
What starts as a reluctant conversation opens a window onto the history of European labour migration. In the 1960s, Şevket leaves Turkey for the Ruhr region, where he works under extreme conditions in the coal mines. Beneath the earth, surrounded by dust, heat and machinery, men from many nations depend upon one another. Above ground, prejudice and mistrust continue to divide them.
Then Şevket meets Wilhelmine, a German woman. Their love challenges the social and cultural boundaries of their time, forcing him to choose between the expectations of others and the life he wants to lead.
Decades later, his grandson begins to understand the sacrifices that shaped his family—and the meaning Şevket’s story holds for his own identity.
Rooted in the true story of writer-director Adnan G. Köse’s parents, DUST ON OUR HANDS is an emotional historical drama about work, migration, love and belonging. A film about a generation that helped build modern Germany—and whose stories remain part of our shared history.
