At New Dakota Studios, we believe that powerful stories have the ability to connect people across generations, cultures and borders. Every project begins with the same conviction: stories should leave a lasting impression.

Founded by filmmaker Adnan G. Köse, New Dakota Studios is an independent creative studio dedicated to developing original feature films, television series and selected commissioned productions for national and international audiences. Beyond film, the studio also creates projects in theatre, literature, podcasts and other narrative formats—always guided by the same commitment to authentic storytelling, artistic excellence and cinematic craftsmanship.

Our creative focus lies in character-driven dramas, psychological thrillers, historical stories and emotionally compelling narratives. We are drawn to complex characters, moral dilemmas and extraordinary human journeys. Many of our projects are inspired by real events or personal experiences—not to recreate reality, but to transform them into stories with universal emotional resonance.

We believe every story deserves the genre that best serves its purpose. Genre is never the destination; it is the language through which a story reaches its audience.

As an independent studio, New Dakota develops projects from the earliest concept through production, working closely with producers, broadcasters, streamers, distributors and international partners. We believe that lasting creative partnerships are built on trust, artistic integrity and a shared commitment to excellence.

My stories often begin with a clear genre promise — a road movie, a psychological thriller, a sports drama, a musical or a Christmas tale. But genre is never the destination. It is the way into the human heart.

I am drawn to people who have fallen out of the lives they once knew: the abandoned, the wounded, the guilty, the forgotten. People searching for belonging, identity or a second chance. Again and again, an unexpected encounter forces them to confront their past, accept responsibility and decide who they still have the courage to become.

My films explore social realities without reducing their characters to arguments or messages. They remain suspenseful, unpredictable and, above all, deeply emotional — because cinema should not merely explain the world. It should allow us to experience it through another human being.

If I cannot answer that honestly, I don't make it.
